Gems, Runes, Charms are more important IMO but don’t get carried away. Rares you no longer need can go to another character you plan on trying next. Gear-wise: I’d say at your stage, other than some really good rares to swap up builds on the fly, I’d just keep singles of set items and some uniques, later on you’ll have an idea of what you can get rid of. 2 Mules, one for sets and the other for the spill over on runes and gems. I’m just getting into Hell on my first character, I have all classes made and any items specific to a class I find that I may want to keep I’ll transfer to that character. So to fill a mule, put items in the shared tabs (2nd through 4th) and then swap them over to inventory or 1st tab on Mule. The other 3 are shared and all items will show up in those tabs on all characters, plus the on-character inventory of a mule can also be used for storage. The first tab of your stash is for that character only, so all characters new have an empty tab. Mule is just an extra character to use for storage.
